Objectives

Students will acquire an understanding of the ray method in heterogeneous, elastic media. They will be able to apply their knowledge by programming a ray tracing code.

  • kinematic ray tracing
  • numerical representation of models
  • geometric spreading
  • Snell's law
  • reflection and transmission

Language

German or English (will be announced at the beginning of the course)
